The Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) has applied for a loan from the European Investment Bank (hereinafter referred to as the EIB) to finance Samalaut 500 kV Substation Extension - Package B "Autotransformer". The Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Egyptian Electricity Holding Company (EEHC) is inviting International Bidders to submit Bids for the supply of 1 x 375 MVA 500/220/11 kV Autotransformer for Samalaut 500/220/11 kV S/S Extension (Package B). The scope of works includes, but not limited to: Engineering, design, fabrication, factory testing, site delivery, loading, unloading, putting on foundation of one three phase in one tank 375 MVA autotransformer with its accessories, supervision of erection, training, site testing and commissioning, warranty and insurance till provisional acceptance. Responsive Bidders will be selected on the basis of compliance with the schedule, terms and conditions as well as the technical specifications, acceptable past experience including past experience of subcontractors and financial capability. Financial evaluation will be based on the responsive Bidder's financial Bids taking into account the economic value of the losses of the transformers offered. The Bidder (including its subcontractor(s)) should have a) experience in manufacturing transformers of equal or higher ratings (level of voltages and MVA) which have been put into commercial operation successfully for at least three years in three projects at three different locations one of them outside the country of manufacture during the last ten years b) ISO 9001 and the recent certificates. The Bid Document for the above project will be available at EETC's offices. Envelope A must contain all required information, except the schedule of quantities & prices and must be accompanied by a Bid Security in an acceptable form equal to US$ 70,000 (seventy thousands), Envelope B must include the schedules of quantities & prices. Only Envelope A of Bids will be opened on the same day at 12:00 noon O'clock (Egyptian local time) in the presence of Bidders' representatives who choose to attend, at the headquarter of EETC at the address shown above. Bidders whose Bids have been determined to be substantially responsive shall be informed of the opening date for Envelope B.
