State Communal Enterprise on the Rights of Economic Administration of the Almaty city Akimat (SCE on REA) “Almaty Kala Zharyk”, hereinafter referred to as “the Client”, intends using part of the proceeds of a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, hereinafter referred to as “the Bank”, towards the cost of Almaty Street Lighting Project. The Client intends prequalifying firms and consortia to tender for the Lighting Design, Supply, Installation & Commissioning, including 5 years' full and 5 years' limited Performance Warranty Contract, of LED luminaries in Almaty contract, hereinafter referred to as “the Contract”, to be funded from part of the proceeds of the loan. The scope of works shall include Design, Supply, Installation & Commissioning, including 5 years' full Performance Warranty (which includes replacement of the defective luminaries and compensation of the costs for replacement) and 5 years of limited warranty (from year 6 through to year 10 of operation, including replacement of the defective luminaries on the specific category of the roads only) of LED luminaries in Almaty, in one single contract, with the subject matter comprising of the items specified in the Prequalification Documents. Total number of luminaries to be replaced is 74 000. Prequalification and tendering for contracts to be financed with the proceeds of a loan from the Bank is open to firms and joint ventures of firms from any country. Prequalification documents will be dispatched electronically in PDF format at no cost upon a written request sent as per the contact information provided below. The prequalification documents must be duly completed and delivered to the mailing address below, on or before 15 September 2015, 11:00 a.m., Almaty time. Documents which are received late may be rejected and returned unopened.
