Survey services. The Service required is access to space on regular surveys for the inclusion of bespoke survey modules developed by the Department for Transport (such surveys are usually called Omnibus Surveys in the UK). The survey should be a random probability sample survey of adults aged 16 and over living in private households in Great Britain. The main mode of data collection should be through computer assisted personal interviewing (CAPI). The survey should be able to deliver an achieved sample size of at least 1 000 respondents for DfT modules. For each DfT module developed the selected contractor will be required to provide advice on questions, programme the questionnaire accurately; undertake the fieldwork with the aim of achieving at least a 50 % response rate; prepare and deliver a clean data set module and supply an associated Technical Report. The contractor may also be required to undertaken question testing, including cognitive interviews, and analysis and report writing.
