The College of Engineering Advanced Imaging of Materials (AIM) facility wishes to purchase High Resolution 3D X-Ray Computed Tomography Microscope (XRM) equipment to support multi-disciplinary research. It will be a research machine with sufficient flexibility to support a large range of applications at an advanced scientific level. Applications are likely to be in many areas e.g. biomedical materials, metallic-oxide powders, denser alloys (nickel and steel), ceramics, castings, composites, geological core samples, organic materials, complex multilayer coatings, human and animal remains.
