SSD12 04 Construction of Specialist Community Care Centres on a Design and Build form of Construction Contract.

This procurement will provide for the construction of two specialist community care centres on a Design and Build basis utilising the JCT form of Contract. Each centre will consist of 32 en suite bedrooms (16 short stay places and 16 long stay places) for older adults with dementia or complex care needs. Each centre will be a hub for the local community and be fully accessible to people with disabilities and constructed to dementia appropriate design principles. It is the intention that the Architect and structural engineers shall be novated to the successful design and build contractor(s) to complete post contract design services which shall include the provision of an interior design service.
