This advertisement is placed on a voluntary basis by NITHC/Translink and is not subject to the Utilities Regulations 2006. The Northern Ireland Transport Holding Company is a public corporation charged with the delivery of public transport in Northern Ireland. The following is provided in good faith and is intended only as a preliminary background explanation to NITHC/Translink’s requirements. It does not purport to be all inclusive. NITHC/Translink is seeking Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified and experienced providers of Advertising Management Services who wish to contract with NITHC to manage, maintain, develop and expand the portfolio of fixed advertising sites across Northern Ireland. The portfolio currently consists of around 90 advertising panels at around 50 sites throughout Northern Ireland and includes various sizes of hoarding (ranging from “80 sheets” to “4/6 sheets”) and various types of hoarding (including a number of prismatic and illuminated sites). Many of the sites are located close to railway lines and the successful contractor will be required to work closely with Northern Ireland Railways (NIR) to ensure any work is carried out to NIR’s safety standards and to their specifications. The successful contractor will provide NITHC/Translink with an annual guaranteed minimum payment for the duration of the contract and any period of extension, together with a percentage of any gross revenue in excess of the guaranteed minimum. As NITHC/Translink wish to expand and develop the portfolio, the successful contractor will also be expected to development annual and long term investment plans. In seeking to maximise and grow revenue from fixed site advertising, the successful contractor will manage, repair and replace existing sites and identify and develop (with the assistance of NITHC/Translink) new locations and other mediums (e.g. car park stairwells and barriers etc) throughout Northern Ireland. The contract will be for an initial period of 5 years from 1.1.2011 with options to extend, at NITHC/Translink’s discretion for two further 2½ year periods (i.e. 10 years in total).
