The light rail between Sentrum [down town] and Fyllingsdalen is the fourth construction phase for the Light Rail, and the beginning of line 2 for Bergen Light Rail. The light rail line 2 from Central to Fyllingsdalen consists of 10 km of new line from the existing line in Central, via Haukeland Hospital and further through the urban development area at Mindemyren, through the Løvstakken mountain to Fyllingsdalen down town and to an end point in the business area at Spelhaugen. A new area for carriages will also be placed here. The length is about 10.8 km, distributed over 5 km of open air and 5 km of tunnel. The route has 8 new stops, and will also have 2 common stops with line 1 in Kaigaten and at Nonneseter. Altogether, 4 880 m of open air double track and 4 860 m of double track in tunnel shall be established. 4 tunnels and a bridge will be established for the rail, as well as 2 tunnels for pedestrian and bicycle path, a large road bridge and multiple minor roads and pedestrian bridges. The individual contract will be published on Doffin/TED in the period Autumn 2017-2000.
