UK Shared Business Services Limited (UK SBS Ltd) on behalf of The Hartree Centre of the Science & Technologies Facilities Council is looking to procure a compute cluster and its associated software and services (Snowdonia Project). The cluster must be a flexible, robust, multi-purpose platform that can efficiently manage the changing workload of the Hartree Centre as we move from predominately HPC based work to a more balanced portfolio of HPC, HPDA, Big Data and machine learning. Delivery and installation of the island is required by the 1.3.2017, with acceptance tests being completed by the 31.3.2017, The Hartree Centre will be holding a supplier engagement day on Tuesday the 23rd of August in order to help shape the final specification for this requirement. Suppliers wishing to participate in this engagement day should submit their interest in an email to: laura.lewis@uksbs.co.uk Suppliers that do not wish to participate in the engagement day will still have the opportunity to bid for this requirement when the contract notice is published. The four benchmark codes required for bids are now available at http://community.hartree.stfc.ac.uk/wiki/site/procurement-bm/Home.html, along with instructions.
