This call will be open to groupings of two or more legal entities from airspace users, ANSPs, ground and airborne industry and airports which will be working together to demonstrate the effective benefits brought by SESAR to the stakeholders which will have to prepare for deployment of SESAR results. The SJU will establish the domains of the integrated flight trials and demonstration activities, for which the SJU will ask the submission of proposals, will assess the proposals and will let contracts to the most interesting projects in accordance with the criteria defined in the call. The estimated budget to be dedicated to the demonstration activities is expected to be around 10 000 000 EUR excl. VAT and have a maximum duration of 24 months. The proposed co-financing level will be of 50 %, with the exception of SMEs and research centres which will be financed up to 75 % and universities up to 100 %. This initiative, which shall integrate the AIRE initiative and be strictly linked to the SESAR Programme, aims at reinforcing the “Innovation” aspects of the execution of the European ATM Master Plan, at fostering the achievement of the SESAR 2012 objectives and at translating those objectives into tangible benefits for the ATM community.
