Liability insurance services. General liability insurance services. Liability Claims Handling Services. The Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Justice and the Department of Communities and Local Government has a requirement for the Provision of a Government self-insured Claims Handling Service to manage Private Law claims including, but not limited to, Public Liability, Employer’s Liability, Property and Third Party Motor Claims. The Service shall be made available to Other Government Departments (OGD’s) providing the Contractor has existing capacity or is able to make arrangements with the OGD to accommodate the new claims handling requirement within the contract period. The service shall include receipt of claims, investigation, collection of evidence, assessment of liability, settlement negotiations and where necessary conduct cases in court to rule on either liability or quantum, or both. Bidders who wish to express an interest in this requirement are required to provide their full name, postal address and contact details.
