CP1765-19 Extreme Network Contract

Devon County Council’s existing LAN maintenance support contract expires on 30.9.2019. The existing contract covers the hardware and software support for the Avaya VSP9000 units at County Hall, Exeter and the lifetime warranty of the remaining Avaya edge switches throughout the estate. The edge switch deployment consists mainly of ERS 4800’s, with around half a dozen ERS4500’s and a dozen 3500’s. In January 2019, we had a requirement for shared office space with our NHS partners, which meant running one infrastructure for both organisations. DCC’s solution was to deploy an Extreme X-Series switch solution, alongside their NAC and NMC servers. These will be covered in the new contract and will come into force, once that contract expires (January 2020).
