The aim of this tender process is to appoint a suitably qualified and competent Cleaning contractor who will service and sustain a high and consistent standard of cleaning across each of the University buildings. This cleaning will include: Vertical and horizontal services; Fixtures and fittings; Building entrances; Public and common areas; Offices; Teaching and lecture rooms; Laboratories; Sports facilities; Specialist medical areas. This is a dual campus provision, so the successful contractor will be expected to take over the cleaning service provision of the Bay Campus as soon as it is ready for occupation in 2015. The current provision of cleaning on the Singleton campus is split between an in-house provision and two external contractors, and the appointed contractor will facilitate the University as it gradually reduces its in-house provision to move across to the wholly out-sourced provider.
