The signalling department within Northern Ireland Railways wishes to establish a list of suitably qualified signalling implementation contractors for the provision of installation and testing services. The services shall be carried out to network rail and NIR standards and be undertaken by competent staff that holds the appropriate IRSE licenses. The principles of network rails GRIP process shall be followed and the following services will be required at various stages of a projects life. GRIP 1-4: — Correlation surveys and reports, — Site surveys reports, — Implementation/possession strategies, — Outline testing and commissioning strategies, — Cost estimates. GRIP 5-7: — Off-site locations/REB construction, — Signal, Power, and Telecom cable termination — On-site locations/reb/relay room alterations, — On track installation of AWS, TPWS, treadles, track circuits, etc, — Point machines, supplementary drive and detection installation, — Level crossings, MCB-CCTV, AHBC, MSL, etc, — Pretesting and verification of installations, — SMTH and SWTH testing and commissioning, — Testing management services. The signalling implementation services framework will cover signalling and telecom disciplines. The majority of the works will range from 50 000 GBP to 350 000 GBP which will be awarded to the winning company on a call-off basis. Works estimated to exceed 350 000 GBP will be tendered to all companies on the framework. The duration of this arrangement will be 4 years but subject to annual break clauses. Please note the return date for pre qualifications is no later than 12:00, Tuesday, 22.9.2015.
