Short Breaks.

Doncaster council aim to commission short break services and activities from a variety of providers for Children and Young People. Doncaster council are looking for providers that can offer, play and community short break activities as well as individual support for Children and Young People both in their own home and to access community service or provide overnight care. Doncaster Council is keen to develop a wide range and volume of short breaks from a variety of providers. These packages may range from 80 hours per year up to 40 hours per week for individual children and young people. Group activities can take place during holidays, after school and at weekends and could range across play, sports, arts and crafts etc. The service will facilitate the delivery of a range of short break services for eligible children with a disability. Family/Carers will benefit by receiving breaks that will enable them to focus on their own health, well-being and daily living needs. Doncaster Council would like to encourage a wide range of providers, organisations and charities independent providers, community and social enterprises to apply.
