Instrument Landing System (ILS). Global navigation and positioning systems (GPS or equivalent). The Air Commodities Team, part of the UK Ministry of Defence, intends to place a contract with Raytheon Systems Limited for the Post Design Service Support for Various Equipment i.e. Instrument Landing Systems and Demand Order Survey and Repair of COSSOR 2515 military GPS for a period of 5 years. Raytheon is the DAOS accredited Design Organisation. The US Government authorises storage, repair and testing of military GPS Equipment. It is considered that this contract can be placed using the negotiated procedure without prior publication pursuant to Article 28(1)(e) of Directive 2009/81/EC (Regulation 16(1)(a)(ii) of the Defence and Security Public Contracts Regulations 2011). This is due to Technical Reasons. The equipment covered came into service between the early 1970’s and 1989 has been supported and maintained by Raytheon throughout. Raytheon have the knowledge, tooling and test equipment already in place to continue supporting this equipment. The MOD does not hold any drawings or data packs associated with this equipment. Raytheon also hold the necessary Federal Government authorisation to handle military GPS equipment.
