Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (The Trust) is one of the largest Foundation Trusts in the UK, consisting of over 14,000 staff, approximately 100 wards and in patient units, and upwards of 2000 beds, providing services to over one million patients per annum. The Trust has its own inhouse laundry facility located at the Northern General Hospital. The Trust has a requirement for the supply, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of a laundry detergent wash process system. The system is to be integrated with existing equipment. The Trust also requires the supply of laundry detergent for its existing laundry equipment, and the supply of laundry detergent for the wash process system. The Trust envisages a minimum operational life for the laundry detergent wash process system, of ten years. The contract duration for the supply of laundry detergent and maintenance of the process system is for a minimum 3 year term, with the option to extend for an additional two twelve month terms. The Trust may consider a ten year contract for the supply, commissioning and maintenance of the laundry detergent wash process system, and the supply of laundry detergent, if the arrangement is beneficial to the Trust.
