The City of Edinburgh Council wishes to let a multi lot framework agreement, for the provision of furniture removals and storage. The lots will operate as follows: Lot one multi supplier framework agreement for the provision of furniture removals & storage - city development: The successful contractor will be required to deliver/ relocated furniture and equipment between properties occupied by the City of Edinburgh Council and partners (British Telecom, Xerox, National Health Service, Lothian & Borders Police and Lothian and Borders Fire Rescue Service). The successful contractor will provide advice and support to Council staff or project teams that are responsible for the relocation of staff and services to ensure relocations are carried out efficiently and cost effectively with minimum disruption or down time to business. Lot 2 single supplier framework agreement for the provision of Furniture removals & storage - services for communities: The hostels and temporary accommodation service (H&TAS) is a statutory service within the City of Edinburgh Council which provides accommodation and support for around 3 000 homeless people per year. A significant number of those 3 000 customers require assistance with the removal, transfer and storage of belongings, sometimes for an unspecified amount of time. The City of Edinburgh Council is legally obliged to provide this assistance.
