Hospital beds. Guy’s and St Thomas’, King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust Shared Procurement is inviting tenders to supply a managed bed service to Guy’s and St Thomas’, King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and other organisations within King’s Health Partners. The contract will be for a period of 3 years with an option to extend for up to 24 months. The requirement is for a fully managed service extending from order and delivery and installation within agreed times frames, response to MHRA alerts, and full on-site maintenance. The requirement is estimated at 3,000 beds including specialist, birthing, bariatric, ultra-low, community and critical care specifications. Additionally cots, foam and dynamic mattresses are to be included. Interested service providers must be capable of providing a complete service provision or be able to work with third part suppliers within a managed service contract arrangement in the most cost effective format. Guy’s and St Thomas’ and King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust Shared Procurement does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender. This contract will be available for use by all Kings Health Partners and other authorities as detailed in section II.1.2 for the Provision of Total Bed Management services. We wish to consider three options: — Capital purchase and/or leasing, — Additional Managed Equipment Service (MES), — Maintenance contract. Also required is the provision of an evidence based system for managing, ordering and cancelling products. This system must also have the capability to collect clinical data on pressure ulcers and other conditions as deemed by the Trust. Online ordering capability 24 hours per day and access to a range of clinical and usage reports to designated Trust personnel. All data must comply with the Trusts data protection policy.
