National Franking Machines Agreement.

The purpose of this Framework Agreement is the efficient provision of Franking Machines, Consumables, Maintenance and Associated Products to Higher and Further Education Institutions across the UK, and to Public Sector organisations in Scotland. This Framework Agreement will be in 4 Lots. Lot 1 is for the provision of Franking Machines on either a purchase or leased basis. Lot 1 also provides access to complete packages of Maintenance, Consumables and Associated Products as well as an Added Value Managed service which is intended to improve the overall efficiency of mail preparation within an organisation through the effective and efficient deployment of products and services. Lot 1 will cover the whole of the UK including Highlands and Islands of Scotland and Northern Ireland, suppliers must be able to provide their services either directly or through a sub-contractor to all eligible organisations in the UK. It is anticipated that Lot 1 will be awarded to one or three or more suppliers, to a maximum of four. Lots 2, 3, and 4 have been established on a geographic basis for the provision of Maintenance, Consumables and Associated Products in order to provide choice to the organisations and institutions utilising this Framework Agreement. Suppliers must be able to provide these goods and services to all eligible organisations within the Lot area. It is anticipated that Lots 2, 3 and 4 will be awarded to one or three or more suppliers, to a maximum of four.
