Security Policy Call Off Contract for Specialist Practitioners.

The Department for Transport, its Executive Agencies and NDPBs, (DfT) procure specialist security expertise and services to provide independent support to meet the HMG Security Policy Framework (SPF). It contracts specialists, including CESG Listed Adviser Scheme (CLAS) Consultants and others, to help assure these security processes and policies. The SPF outlines the security requirements and management arrangements mandated on Government Departments and Agencies. This current DfT contract expires on the 31.3.2015.The Contracting Authority is seeking to replace the contract for the provision of these services. The DfT Specialist Practitioner Services for Protective Security Framework will run over 2 (+1 optional) years, with an estimated expenditure of up to 3 500 000 GBP. The services DfT is seeking under this Framework include: — Verifying IT security controls and compliance, including penetration tests, network monitoring, assessing PCI compliance and forensic investigations-Audit and assurance activity, including technology risk assessment, information assurance audits and physical security audits-Specialist advice and documentation, including policy development, risk management and on specific project implementations, to meet DfT's security objectives and/or achieve compliance with security standards (such as ISO27000 and ISO27001 for Information Security and Assurance, ISO22301 for business continuity management The Contracting Authority intends to hold an early Market Engagement event on 6.10.014 to discuss the requirements of this contract. The anticipated OJEU release date is November 2014.
