Electronic timekeeping systems. The Master Equipment Outfit otherwise known as Precise Time & Frequency is fitted to 26 platforms,including T23s,T42s &T45s in the RN. It is used to provide a precise time backup functionality in the event of the GPS Jamming by hostile force. Outfit FSF allows Ships to communicate correctly,in terms of data transmission & recieiving. FSF provides the capabilty for SFOT,2QCD,ICS6 & the Combat System Highway as well as providing a frequency standard that allows operation of the spread spectrum hopping secure communication system Saturn.
