The Wheatley Housing Group is seeking to procure a contract which provides Handyperson services for our customers aged 60 years or over and to our vulnerable tenants. The service is to enable small tasks to be undertaken within our elderly and vulnerable customers' homes, therefore it is necessary for the customers to feel at ease with the operator. The Handyperson service will be available to all of Wheatley's vulnerable and over 60's customers within the following areas: Greater Glasgow; South Lanarkshire; Dumbarton; Renfrewshire; Falkirk and West Lothian. To allow for future growth of the Group, it will also be made available to additional subsidiary companies that may be added during the period of the contract. The tasks may include, but are not limited to: — Installation of white goods — Assembling furniture-Room/furniture re-organisation — Installing curtain poles and tracks — Cleaning internal customary windows — Cleaning external windows — only when the window type is tilt and turn — Changing light bulbs/strip lights — Hanging curtains/blinds. The Service will be provided by dedicated operatives who are suitably experienced and have been the subject of ‘Enhanced Disclosure Scotland’ checks. The Supplier should be able to: — Relate to the Group's older and vulnerable customers in terms of language and local knowledge of their environment — Deliver value for money — Have a pro-active and committed approach — Ensure customer satisfaction.
