Translink has 17 sites with gas supplies in the open market area including supplies in Belfast, Lisburn, Carrickfergus and Larne consuming approximately 5 104 729 KWh P/A. Sites use gas primarily for heating and 3 sites use gas for paint baking operations. It is anticipated that approximately 2 further gas connections will become active during the contract period and it is expected that Translink will be offered the same rates from the successful bidder. Site acquisitions and divestments will be awarded or contracts cancelled at Translink discretion dependent on business requirements. Monthly gas consumption figures, based on billing for the 12 month period up to 30.3.2014 are attached. Initially a contract commencing on the 1.10.2014 for 12 months will be offered. Three additional 12 month extensions are also available. Translink are open to innovative solutions to meet its requirements. Translink actively promote the use of energy from renewable sources, however Translink is a commercial operation and seek VFM in all aspects of its business.
