In autumn 2015 Vest-Agder county procured the old Kristiansand iron foundry in Dalaneveien 51 in Kristiansand municipality (title no/cadastral no 151/393), with the intention of establishing a new central bus facility for the Kristiansand region. Parts of the adjoining property title no/cadastral no 151/1 will also be included in the construction area. The bus station shall be rented out to future bus operators for the Kristiansand region, starting 1.7.2018. The site will have access via the existing exit from Dalanevegen at the southern end of the property. As a starting point the project shall be based on the tender documentation, including the annexes stated in the table of contents. A bus facility shall be constructed in the turnkey contract for a total of 150 buses, with possible expansion options to 190 buses. The facility consists of an office and workshop building, which includes office areas for the bus operator, driver facilities, bus cleaning and a bus workshop, with the accompanying support functions.
