Operation of Container Services at Belfast Harbour.

Belfast Harbour is Northern Ireland's principal container handling port and is the second largest on the island of Ireland. In 2012, 123,000 container units were handled at the port. There are two container terminals at the port: VT3 and Belfast Container Terminal (BCT). BHC is now seeking to consolidate these container terminals. BHC requires an operator to provider container services for the consolidated terminal. It is currently envisaged that the proposed contract will be a services concession contract. The proposed term of the contract is 5 years with a rolling 3 year option to extend at BHC's sole discretion, up to a maximum of 20 years in total.
