FCO Services, acting Agent on behalf of the Ministry of Defence (MOD), is exploring the supply market capability and capacity for the standard design (COTS/MOTS), manufacture and shipping supply (typically within the UK) of large geodesic radome structures that house radar equipment. Additionally, FCO Services is seeking to understand supplier capability to deliver full installation of the radomes on specific sites as required. The core procurement will be for the provision and through life support of 2 radomes with the option for a further 9 radomes, each at a differing location across the UK and Permanent Joint Operating Bases overseas. At the Tendering stage, the Authority may seek pricing for additional radomes over and above the 11 identified in the core procurement. A standard repeatable delivery model for a standard product (COTS/MOTS) of differing sizes will be required to maximise the simplicity of supply, installation and maintenance. The requirement will be for the supply, shipping and installation (where required) of the radome product. Additionally, where MOD intends to install the radome there will be a need for the supplier to provide technical support to ensure a smooth installation and maintenance process over the life of the product (expected to be 20 years) and to ensure any warranty is valid for the period offered.
