Maintenance of Ni-Cad batteries for IE's Fleet.

Iarnród Éireann (IÉ) awards a contract to a suitably experienced company, capable of overhauling and maintaining trainset batteries on all IÉ’s fleet including EMU’s, DMU’s, carriages and locomotives. It is anticipated that the proposed contract will run, subject to performance, for a 4 year period. The successful tenderer will be required to collect from one of IÉ’s Depots located at Limerick, Portlaoise, Drogheda or Dublin, overhaul/maintain (in accordance with the OEM recommendations) and thereafter returnbattery sets to a specified destination. The successful tenderer will also be required to offer IE appropriate assistance in unprogrammed repairs.
