Kent Community Health NHS Trust requested expression of interest from suitably qualified organisations wishing to provide an occupational health service and a staff counselling service. The contract was divided into service lots which will be occupational health, staff counselling and a combined lot of both occupational health and staff counselling. The Trust was looking for a Kent wide single partner who will provide a comprehensive proactive solution. The Trust also has contracts in Newham, London and East Sussex which will need access to these services and the Trust will be in the future bidding for more contracts outside of its traditional geographical boundaries. Bidders will be required to complete a pre-qualification questionnaire and the evaluation of this will establish those bidders that will be shortlisted and invited to tender. The Trust is looking for an efficient paperless electronic solution and this must be fully operational from the start of the contract. The tender involved TUPE for the occupational health service element only. The contract will be for 3 years starting in April 2015 and will have the option to extend for a further 2 years in tranches of 12 months.
