Piloted aircraft. A 2 year enabling contract with options for a further 2 years for the full-time provision of JSAT support in the form of rigging services to support the delivery of static line and freefall (including tandem) parachuting. Rigging services provided by a BPA Advanced Rigger are required on-site for 35 hours per week, with some weekend work required. Services required include (but are not limited to) the inspection and servicing of approximately 110 parachute systems and 50 sets of ancillary equipment, the compilation and maintenance of a serviceability schedule, fulfilling the role of subject matter expert with regard to rigging matters, and the upkeep of rigging facilities and equipment. All rigging services provided must comply with BPA regulation, and all activities on site must comply with the appropriate military regulation. This requirement will also include the provision of an aircraft and pilot to support the delivery of static line and freefall parachuting. The flying services may be required year-round although the emphasis will be on the Joint Service Adventurous Training parachuting season which takes place from early February until the end of October each year. Historically the Joint Service Adventurous Training requirement during weekdays averages approximately 100 flying hours per year. Additional weekend flying will also be required, as will the ability and willingness to support other related organisations such as the RAF Falcons Parachute Display Team. All services provided must comply with BPA and CAA regulation, in addition to any regulation enforced by the Military Aviation Authority or other associated governing bodies.
