Customer Services South manages around 12 000 rented and leasehold homes across the Southern regions. Locally based customer service teams are working to add value to our customers lives and to the communities in which they live through providing: Decent homes in healthy neighbourhoods which meets the needs of the customer; Innovative neighbourhood services that deliver strong, healthy sustainable communities; The services required Home is looking to outsource grounds maintenance, communal cleaning and window cleaning in the Southern Regions for its General Needs, Older Persons services and Leasehold customers. Consideration will be given to one contractor covering both grounds maintenance and cleaning per region / lot. (Please note communal cleaning including window cleaning for our Older Persons schemes is not a requirement within this contract). On many of our estates in the south, Home is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of a wide variety of open spaces and communal living areas through external contract arrangements. Where tenancy agreements and leases allow, the cost of doing this work is recovered from the residents in the form of service charges. The service in the South is managed by the Customer Services Managers (CSM's), and directly supervised by the local office customer service partners. The CSP's are based at the local offices, but visit estates on a weekly basis with formal bi-quarterly estate inspections where estates are graded. In addition to this tree works and a tree specialist service will be required. Neighbourhood Services and Grounds Maintenance Functions There are 6 areas (Lots) that contractors can bid for. This can be 1 lot or up to all 6 lots. These areas will not be divided into any further sub regions. The regions are denoted by our local management office. East Grinstead and Croydon Havant Reading Harlow, Chelmsford, Stevenage Milton Keynes, Peterborough, Kettering London.
