Description of Abaqus / ISight use Abaqus is a product from Dassault Systemes for data based analysis of 3d models from different 3D modeling tools. ISight is an additional product for Abaqus which is also delivered by Dassault Systemes Abaqus and ISight are both used for teaching and research to include FEM (finite element method), thermal and fluid analysis, Also in combinations. Most of the elements of functionality in Abaqus is used. In an educational context there are several subjects that use Abaqus, in addition to that there is a master and project tasks that are dependent on the availability of Abaqus. ISight is currently used only in a research context. In the research context, it is mostly PhD candidates who use the systems, but it is also permanent faculty who are users on this level. Data models and computing power that is needed for this is so large that the system is also available on our supercomputers.
