The Authority is looking to engage a supplier to carry out all of the servicing and maintenance of certain equipment used as part of the delivery of the Carmarthenshire Integrated Community Equipment Service (CICES), based at Dafen Ind Est, Llanelli. The CICES delivers equipment to clients within Carmarthenshire, which will aid the client. The equipment may be delivered to an individual's home or in a residential home setting. As certain equipment needs regular, specific inspection and servicing (in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations and the HSE LOLER and PUWER legislation), the supplier will carry out this servicing either where it is being used or at the CICES base at Dafen Ind Est, Llanelli. The supplier will also attend to breakdown of equipment where it takes place with the intention of resolving any problems and ensuring the equipment is fully functional again. It is expected that as breakdowns can occur at any time, the supplier must be able to respond to such events at any time of the day or night, any day of the year.
