Cell Therapy Catapult Ltd is seeking to let a Construction Contract to an appropriate contractor with relevant experience of similar projects to complete the detailed design, strip-out, refurbishment and fit-out of Floor 12, Guys Tower, Guys Hospital, London. The works comprise the refurbishment and fit-out of circa 1,174 m2 (12,643 ft2) to create specialist laboratory space, clean rooms and office accommodation with appropriate service and plant provision. The Cell Therapy Catapult will be capable of developing the full range of cell therapy processes to a GMP ready state suitable for technology transfer to a GMP facility for early phase clinical trial manufacture. The facilities will therefore include flexible laboratories for process development and scale-up, analytical development/testing and technology development. Administration areas will also be required including flexible working spaces, offices, meeting and training rooms and break out areas. Funding for the development is being provided by The Technology Strategy Board. The expected value of the whole of the work (including fit-out) is between 3.5m and 4.5m GBP excluding specialist equipment and loose fixtures, fittings and equipment.
