RDW is working towards a European tender that concerns the procurement of software and/of solutions to apply facial recognition as a quality instrument in its business processes for driver's license request handling and card production. Our plans include: —Assessment of compliance of JPG or JPEG2000 driver's license photographs to the ICAO ISO/IEC 19794-5 standard; —Assessment of the likelihood of identical identity by facial recognition comparison between twofold JPG or JPG2000 driver's license photograph sets, a new photo and an older photo, with an age spread of 5 to 10 years. RDW is publishing this market consultation through the procurement platform www.negometrix.com on the public national tender publication site www.tenderned.nl. With this publication, RDW invites and encourages the market to provide valuable input in this preparatory phase. The results of this market consultation will help RDW to better develop the intended European tender. If your company is in this line of business, we kindly ask you to fill in this questionnaire.
