Procurement of production scale sequencer for next generation sequencing (NGS)

Genomics Core facility at MF faculty, NTNU and the Department for Medical Genetics, St. Olav’s hospital. (St. Olavs) would like to procure a sequencer for high throughput sequencing (HTS)/next generation sequencing (NGS). The instrument must be suitable for the analysis of gene panels (physical), transcription-exome, and whole genome sequencing. As a back-up for down time, NTNU and St. Olavs have both a NextSeq and a MiSeq from Illumina. The procurement will replace an Illumina HiSeq that is being discarded. The instrument will be used both within research and diagnostics and for different applications and different capacity requirements.
