Pre Market engagement for the delivery of the Belfast full fibre programme — Asset Reuse

Belfast was officially announced as one of 13 cities to receive an award from the Department of Digital, Culture, Media and Sport’s Local Full Fibre Network Programme. The project, led by Belfast City Council, recognises that the provision of quality, reliable high-speed connectivity is a necessity for a 21 st century economy and society. The Council has identified an opportunity for the use of public sector duct assets to increase the commercial availability of fibre networks. This is part of the Council’s Local Full Fibre Network (LFFN) initiative and is referred to as Public Sector Asset Reuse (PSAR).
