Cormac Solutions Ltd wishes to appoint suitably qualified subcontractors to a Framework Agreement, apportioned between Lots, based on type and value of works, to provide associated construction and civil engineering works and services. This contract is to support and provide additional capacity for in-house construction and civil engineering works. The Framework will enable call-off contracts to be awarded through either a mini competition exercise or from a Schedule of Rates, dependant on the respective Lot requirement. The proposal is for a framework agreement to be established in 9 Lots with between 1 and 8 contractors per Lot. The Lot categories are as follows: Lot 1 = Drainage, ducting and minor earthworks. Lot 2 = Kerbing and footways. Lot 3 = Surfacing (machine lay and patching). Lot 4 = Road Planing. Lot 5 = Traffic Management. Lot 6 = Anchoring and piling. Lot 7 = Drilling and blasting (primarily for Castle-an-Dinas quarry operations). Lot 8 = Earthworks. Lot 9 = Site setting out. Subcontractors may bid for a maximum of 3 Lots. The Framework will have an initial duration of two years with options to extend for a further 24 months (two 12 month extensions), subject to satisfactory performance, up to a maximum of four years total. The commencement date is anticipated to be April 2013. There will be a requirement for subcontractors, interested in taking part in this procurement project, to show compliance or accreditation to a nationally recognised industry health, safety and environmental management system, examples are CHAS, Constructionline or Achilles, http://www.ssip.org.uk/docs/SSIPForumMembership040412.pdf. Whilst there is no guaranteed quantity or spend, CORMAC Solutions Ltd is likely to spend in the region of up to 9 600 000 GBP per annum across all lots.
