Condition Assessment of the Highway Network.

The proposed service wil be for a period of three years with the option to extend for a further year subject to satisfactory performance and at the discretion of the Council. Contractors will be required to carry out highway condition surveys across North Yorkshire and the City of York. The tender will be divided in to 9 Lots. Lot 1 - Course Visual Inspections. Lot 2 - Detail Visual Inspections. Lot 3 - Scanner (Surface Condtion Assessment for the National Network of Roads) Surveys on A, B and C. Road network, approx. 2 833 km per year. Lot 4 - Scrim and Grip Tester Surveys on 2, 3a and 3b heirarchy roads, which include A, B, C and some U Roads, approx. 4 032 km per year.
