Rating appeals - rating and revaluation and asset valuation appeals. In addition to the London Borough of Hounslow, 3 other London Boroughs are parties to this contract to whom these services shall also be delivered to under this contract. These Boroughs are the London Borough of Brent, London Borough of Waltham Forest and the London Borough of Enfield described collectively in the procurement and contract documentation as "the Participating Authorities". The consultant shall undertake the following services: — Undertaking assessments of the rateable values of operational and non operational property portfolios under the 2010 rating revaluation list and undertaking rating appeals on behalf of the Participating Authority where rate savings may be achievable, — Undertaking assessments of the rateable values of properties for the Participating Authority as an interested party, where there has been an award of discretionary rate relief to a ratepayer under the 2010 rating revaluation list and undertaking rating appeals on behalf of the Participating Authority where rate savings may be achievable, — Take all steps necessary to minimise the Participating Authority’s liability to non-domestic rates and to protect the Participating Authority’s position with regard to non-domestic rates liability generally.
