Hial replacement direction finding equipment programme.

Highlands and Islands Airports Limited have a requirement to replace the DRDF / VDF installations at six Airports - Benbecula, Inverness, Kirkwall, Stornoway, Sumburgh and Wick. This contract will cover the purchase, installation and commissioning into service of the new equipment, together with de-commissioning, removal and disposal of the existing equipment. The contractor will also be required to manage the project through to the successful introduction of the equipment into operational service. Ideally the installation and commissioning of the new equipment should be carried out with no break in the current service. The contract is likely to include a requirement for the contractor to produce the necessary Safety Case documentation to enable the UK Civil Aviation Authority to grant HIAL approval to use the new equipment and as such the new equipment must meet all UK Regulatory requirements as detailed in the UK CAP670.
