The subject of this tender is the Engineering, procurement and construction management consultancy (EPCM) service for reconstruction works being proposed at the Wasteserv Thermal Treatment Facility in Marsa and divided into the following 2 parts: — Part 1 is to lead to the preparation of the works contract involving design upgrades to the thermal treatment facility in Marsa required to accommodate additional storage, provide better manoeuvrability of incoming waste and explore options for introducing facilities for the treatment of clinical waste, — Part 2 is to lead to the preparation of the contract for the supply, installation and commissioning of a clinical waste treatment facility within the premises, including supervision during the following 2-year defects notification period. The service under Part 2 will depend on the outcome of the studies to be carried out under Part 1. Hence, the services under Part 2 may not necessarily be procured.
