The Access Improvement Program comprises of the delivery of 3 major components: Desktop Virtualisation and an upgraded storage network infrastructure are regarded as the best way to deliver the needed delivery and access improvements. The Virtual Desktop and Storage Infrastructure should be implemented in an externally hosted and fully managed service offering. As a direct consequence the IT and IS Services to be delivered via the virtual desktops must be migrated from the current Head Office data centre, to the same external data centre as the VDI. It is expected as far as possible all services will be fully managed by a single partner.
