Bodø’s new arts centre is a project in the centre of Bodø. The project shall be developed in blocks 100 and 105 and it shall include a car park, library and arts centre. The library is to be constructed in block 105 and the arts centre in block 100. In addition the public outside areas around the blocks are included. The works shall be carried out under a contract model in accordance with NS 8404 with awarding authority managed joint contracts. Bodø municipality, as the awarding authority, invites companies to an open tender competition for works connected to acoustic elements fittings if the arts centre. This contract mainly covers specially adapted elements for the 2 main performance premises in the arts centre. Hall 1 is a multi-functional auditorium with 920 seats and is adaptable to be a theatre, symphony concert hall and an arena for sound reinforced music. Hall 2 is smaller with an extendable amphi (not part of the contract). The area can be configured for amphitheatre performances, flat floor for orchestra rehearsals and general functions. The contract includes mobile acoustic wall panels and acoustic wooden covers included on the front of the balcony.
