Airplane Maintenance – Dassault Falcon 20E-5 (D-CMET)

The German Aerospace Center, acting for its flight experiments facility, intends to award a frame agreement for maintenance services relating to the research aircraft (here: Dassault Falcon 20E-5 /D-CMET) over a period of four (4) years. The general tasks of the maintenance services are based on Dassault's ‘Maintenance Due Lists’ based on following data: — Aircraft Make: Dassault Aviation S.A, — Aircraft Model: Falcon 20E-5, — Registration: D-CMET, — Aircraft Serial No 329, — Airworthiness Date: September 26, 1975, — Regulation: DEU-GCAA, — Engines: 2x Honeywell TFE731-5BR-2C -> Serial No 103180, 103181, — APU: Honeywell GTCP36-150 (W) -> Serial No P248. The twin-engine Falcon 20 E jet covers the broadest flight range within the heavily modified DLR fleet and is one of the few research aircraft in Europe that is able to reach the stratosphere. Many unique modifications and equipment make the Falcon a real reusable platform for research applications that can be configured according to individual needs. The Dassault Falcon 20 is a very reliable and still modern aircraft. Due to its mechanical and aerodynamic stability, it is ideally suited as a research aircraft. This also applies under the most extreme conditions such as measurements in storm clouds or the exhaust gas jet from a plane flying ahead. The uniqueness of the DLR Falcon 20 is the result of numerous modifications to the aircraft structure, the power supply system and the sensor equipment. These modifications are continuously adapted to the demands of scientific users.
