The scope of this procurement includes any discovery solution delivered as Software as a Service (SaaS), designed for use specifically with print and electronic Library collections, and which comprises all of the following functional components: — a web-based search and results management interface that provides access and discovery to the library collection for end users, — a web-based management back-end for management, administration, and customisation of the discovery solution by Library staff, — an index of article-level metadata covering both resources in the Library collection and beyond. These three top-level functional components may be provided via a single product or as two or more fully-integrated but separately marketed products. Implementation services for the discovery solution are also within the scope of this procurement. The scope of this procurement excludes any other product, including related Library applications or services, namely: — third party enrichment services, — Library Management System (LMS) software, — Knowledge Base (KB) and / or link resolver software, — Electronic Resource Management (ERM) software, — subscription or purchase of information resource content and products from primary or secondary publishers and aggregators.
