Procurement of Maritime Multi-Link (MML).

The acquisition and integration of the Link 22 software (developed and mandated to meet the UK's NATO and wider interoperability commitments) with the Command Management Systems (CMS) and Data Link Processor (DLP) capabilities aboard the Type 23, Type 45, Landing Platform Dock (LPD) and Queen Elizabeth Class (QEC) platforms (such contract being the ‘Contract’). Alongside the acquisition and integration of the Link 22 capability, the Contract will include the upgrade and integration of legacy Link 11, Link 16 and the UK Satellite Tactical Data Link (UK STDL) capabilities (in each case to NATO standards to achieve interoperability with NATO and Coalition force) with the above CMS. In addition, the Contract will include installing the above MML solution (including both hardware and software) into the above platforms. The MoD anticipates the contract value being a mid range CAT C 20 000 000 - 100 000 000 GBP. The anticipated Contract Award Date is December 2017, Procurement Strategy endorsed on 15.8.2016.
