PR1711-MEH-Femtosecond Laser.

Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust Private Patients Hospital recently procured one Schwind Amaris 1050RS Excimer Laser, the Trust now wishes to procure 1 femtosecond laser for refractive surgery, optimised for accuracy and flexibility of treatment programming, together with all appropriate consumables, upgrades and maintenance. This femtosecond laser will be used in conjunction with the Schwind excimer laser, hence must be compatible with it. This will be without any commitment to make a capital purchase and the successful bidder will be paid a fee by the Trust for each eye treated; although if submitted, varying cost models will be considered. Contract length will be 2 years (with a break clause at the end of each year), with the option to extend for 3 further 1 year periods (+1, +1, +1). Volumes are expected to be around 1 000 to 2 000 eyes per annum. All compliant bids will be considered, however the Trust will look favourably upon bids which are more economically advantageous. Please note that the Trust will only accept bids from OEMs or authorised agents. The laser needs to be installed and operational by 31.1.2016.
