This Prior Information Notice (PIN) is to instigate a market consultation workshop and does not constitute a call for competition to procure any goods, services or works for the Thanet District Council (TDC) and the Council is not bound to accept any proposals offered. Thanet District Council is undertaking a market consultation workshop to help determine equipment available within the market place for the upgrade and replacement of the existing Council owned and operated CCTV. It is anticipated that this Market Consultation workshop exercise will assist the Council to produce a final report on the procurement of a replacement and upgraded CCTV system and will cover 7 areas of enquiry: — Transfer current analogue matrix system to an IP based platform. — Full upgrade of existing CCTV control room to include design, installation and lawful disposal of old equipment. — Replacement of existing cameras to enable day and night monitoring capable of gathering evidential material and fully compatible to existing brackets and poles and any retained CCTV equipment. — Offering new information regarding new camera technology in order to retain and improve existing CCTV covered areas and if possible at a reduced cost. — Determine a maintenance and renewal agreement for 3 to 5 years — call-out time scales and behaviour plus replacement part guarantees. — Discuss any cost saving ideas regarding transmission and quality of performance. — All work to be carried out by a single contractor.
