The Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) has applied for a loan from the European Investment Bank (hereinafter referred to as the EIB) to finance Manshiat Nasser 220kV Substation -Package B "Power Transformers". The Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Egyptian Electricity Holding Company (EEHC) is inviting International Bidders to submit Bids for the Supply of 3 x 125 MVA 220/66/11 kV & 3x40 MVA 66/11 kV Transformers for Manshiat Nasser 220/66/11 kV S/S (Package B). The scope of works includes, but not limited to: Engineering, design, fabrication, factory testing, site delivery, loading, unloading of transformers on foundation with its accessories, supervision of erection, site testing, commissioning, training, warranty & insurance till provisional acceptance. Responsive Bidders will be selected on the basis of compliance with the schedule, terms and conditions as well as the technical specifications, acceptable past experience including past experience of subcontractors and financial capability. Financial evaluation will be based on the responsive Bidder's financial Bids taking into account the economic value of the losses of the transformers offered. The Bidder (including its subcontractor(s)) should have: a) experience in manufacturing transformers of equal or higher ratings (level of voltages and MVA) which have been put into commercial operation successfully for at least three years in three projects at three different locations one of them outside the country of manufacture during the last ten years; b) ISO 9001 and the recent certificates. The Bid Document for the above project will be available at EETC's offices. Bidders may receive the Bid Document by submitting an application, in one original and two copies, accompanied by a payment receipt of US$ 2000 (two thousands) from National Bank of Egypt - Nasr City Branch - Cairo, Egypt (Account No. 11001007177) at address shown below: Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company - EETC Purchasing & Stores Sector, Abassia, Cairo, Egypt. The Bids must be submitted on 5 th of February 2012 in two envelopes. Envelope A must contain all required information, except the schedule of quantities & prices and must be accompanied by a Bid Security in an acceptable form equal to US$ 200,000 (two hundred thousands), Envelope B must include the schedules of quantities & prices. Only Envelope A of Bids will be opened on the same day at 12:00 noon O'clock (Egyptian local time) in the presence of Bidders' representatives who choose to attend, at the headquarter of EETC at the address shown above. Bidders whose Bids have been determined to be substantially responsive shall be informed of the opening date for Envelope B.
