Echo sounders. MoD Aspires to purchase a small, stand alone, IHO compliant, MBES to Equip the Royal Navy's Mobile Survey Team with a fly-away bathymetric system. The system must be compliant with civilian air transport rules and not restricted by ITAR. It must be capable to being employed from a boat of opportunity or a towed 3-metre inflatable catamaran hull. It must be capable of being powered using lead acid batteries and be rated to IP67 and suitable for operations in regions ranging from high latitudes to the equator.
